Tessa Sands, LPC-MHSP, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a desire to bring hope and healing to her clients. Tessa strives to create a safe and warm therapeutic environment that builds on clients’ strengths and resilience. Throughout her counseling experience, Tessa has worked with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, spiritual concerns, attachment, and perinatal/postpartum difficulties. Drawing from modalities such as Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory, Tessa focuses on each individual’s needs to help them meet their goals.

Tessa earned her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Tessa has a National Counselor Certification and has advanced training in treatment of anxiety, military culture/specific challenges, trauma, women’s mood disorders, and more. Outside of session time, Tessa enjoys swimming, cooking, and drawing. As a mother who has experienced the joys and challenges that come from pregnancy, parenthood, and loss, Tessa hopes to connect with clients in all walks of life, especially in the perinatal and postpartum periods.
